Great Lakes Power maintains an extensive inventory of frames, components and
spare parts. We can supply complete units manufactured to your specifications.
Straddle carriers are available with capacities up to 80,000 pounds. Standard
frame heights from 72" to 136" and frame widths of 62" to 92" are available.
Our engineering staff is available to assist you with custom applications.
A variety of lift arrangements are available; standard shoe lift, Heppenstall
attachment, variable width shoe, free lift shoe (2:1 shoe lift), and shoe

The M200H is a 20,000 pound capacity straddle carrier.
The M300H is a larger version of the M200H. The M300H is a 30,000 pound
capacity straddle carrier. The M400H is a 40,000 pound capacity straddle carrier. |

The M400A is an enhanced version of the M400H featuring the "A" frame design.
The "A" frame was pioneered for the steel industry and the associated harsh
operating conditions. The "A" frame features deep boxed frame sections and
added transverse rigidity |
The M600A shown below, is the ultimate steel mill and severe duty straddle carrier. The
M600A was the first model to feature the "A" frame, and is available with
optional capacity of 80,000 pounds.
Great Lakes is unique in that we actually perform the labor for over 95% of
the rebuild in house. Many shops farm work out to unknown third parties and
exercise very little control over quality or cost. We employ a skilled team
of welders, certified to MIL and AWS standards. All fabrication work is done
in house. Great Lakes Power can transform an obsolete or worn out truck into
a fully functional state of the art warranted unit.
We maintain a registered professional engineer on-site to oversee the
refurbishment program. Our engineering capability allow us to make major
design changes to the existing unit for improved reliability, serviceability,
cycle times or other.
Throughout the rebuild program special attention is given to converting
outdated and obsolete systems to today's technology using readily available
components. Upgrading to today's technology ensures that your unit can
continue to be a reliable asset into the future, downtime is kept to a minimum.
Our quality assurance department
is MIL-I certified and is involved in all
aspects of the remanufacture process from inspecting manufactured parts to
checking wear allowances on existing parts. Our engineering staff coupled
with our quality assurance department allows us to reverse engineer damaged
or missing components. We manufacture replacement components in our own
machine shop equipped with state of the art computer controlled machining
centers. The net result is a single source for skills and products.
Great Lakes Power provides turnkey refurbishment programs and has rental
units available. We will pick the unit up at your facility and return it
accompanied by a service technician to assist with startup. All
remanufactured product is backed by a comprehensive warranty on parts and
workmanship.

straddle carrier. Parts are designed using the latest Computer Aided Drafting
software. Parts are manufactured using Computer Aided Manufacturing software,
for fast turnaround, the highest quality and the lowest cost.

If you are unable to pull your carrier out of service, we have available a lease carrier that can be
provided to you while your carrier is being rebuilt.
